FM Barcode Scanner Privacy Policy

1. Camera Access

FM Barcode Scanner requires access to the device camera in order to scan barcodes.

The camera image is processed only for barcode recognition.

FM Barcode Scanner does not:

• save camera images;
• upload camera images to our servers;
• store photos or videos;
• use camera data for analytics, advertising, tracking, or profiling.

Only the barcode value decoded from the camera image is transmitted to the Fashion Management server.

2. Barcode Data

When a user scans a barcode, the decoded barcode value is sent to the Fashion Management server.

The barcode identifies a product, sample, or inventory item belonging to the user’s authorized Fashion Management workspace.

Barcode data is used solely for app functionality, including:

• identifying the scanned product or sample;
• locating the corresponding item in Fashion Management;
• adding or updating the item in the selected list or workspace.

Barcode data is not used for:

• advertising;
• marketing;
• behavioral profiling;
• user tracking;
• sale to third parties.

The app does not maintain a separate local database of scanned barcode information.

The Fashion Management platform may retain the resulting product or list status as part of the normal records of the authorized workspace.

3. Personal Information

FM Barcode Scanner does not independently collect or store:

• names;
• email addresses;
• phone numbers;
• physical addresses;
• payment information;
• health information;
• location information;
• contact lists;
• photos or videos;
• device identifiers;
• advertising identifiers.

The app is available only to authorized users of the Fashion Management platform.

Authentication and account authorization are handled by the existing Fashion Management system.

FM Barcode Scanner does not provide account registration, purchasing, subscriptions, or paid upgrades.

4. Analytics and Tracking

FM Barcode Scanner does not use:

• Firebase Analytics;
• Google Analytics;
• Crashlytics;
• Sentry;
• advertising SDKs;
• tracking SDKs;
• third-party advertising networks.

We do not track users across apps or websites.

We do not use application data for advertising or marketing purposes.

5. Push Notifications

FM Barcode Scanner does not use push notifications and does not collect push notification tokens.

6. Device Information

FM Barcode Scanner does not collect or store:

• device identifiers;
• advertising identifiers;
• precise or approximate location;
• device contact lists;
• device usage profiles.

7. IP Addresses and Server Logs

FM Barcode Scanner does not intentionally collect or retain IP addresses for analytics, advertising, tracking, profiling, or marketing purposes.

Standard network infrastructure may process technical connection information temporarily as necessary to deliver a request. Such information is not used by FM Barcode Scanner to identify, profile, or track users.

8. Data Sharing

FM Barcode Scanner does not sell user information.

Barcode values are transmitted only to the Fashion Management systems required to perform the requested barcode-scanning functionality.

We do not share barcode information with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics providers.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect communications between FM Barcode Scanner and the Fashion Management platform.

Access to Fashion Management workspaces is restricted to authorized users.

10. Children’s Privacy

FM Barcode Scanner is a professional business utility and is not intended for children.

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the functionality of FM Barcode Scanner changes or if applicable legal or platform requirements change.

Any updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
